Position Overview:
We are seeking a distinguished individual to take on the role of Professor of Bioanalytics and Data Science, while also contributing as a member of the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology. This position emphasizes a strong international research profile in bioanalytics integrated with data science.

Research Focus:
The ideal candidate will have a research emphasis on sophisticated data analysis, employing mathematical techniques to innovate processes within analytical and bio-chemistry. This includes the development of intelligent sensors, bio/chemosensors, and the optimization of bioprocesses.

Qualifications:
Expertise in natural sciences, process or automation engineering, mathematics with a technical focus, or analytical chemistry with an emphasis on chemometrics and artificial intelligence is essential. The successful candidate will conduct research aimed at medical applications, particularly in digital point-of-care diagnostics and the identification and validation of biomarkers relevant to geriatric medicine.

Collaboration and Networking:
Your research should align with the strategic scientific focuses of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Potsdam and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, facilitating extensive collaboration with research partners and industry stakeholders in the Berlin-Brandenburg area.

Teaching Responsibilities:
In this role, you will contribute to new academic programs, particularly the English-language master's program in Public Health, Exercise, and Nutrition, representing the comprehensive scope of bioanalytics and data science within the life sciences. A robust national and international network, along with proven teaching capabilities, is expected.

Research Management:
The successful candidate will have a strong history of securing publicly funded grants and managing industry projects, demonstrating expertise in strategic planning, acquisition, and successful project execution. Experience in leading interdisciplinary research teams is crucial for this position.

Innovation and Development:
You will be responsible for establishing efficient processes to ensure the effective execution of large-scale research and development initiatives. The transfer of research findings into innovative products will be a significant aspect of your professional motivation.
