About The Role

The Sales Development Manager is tasked with enhancing retail sales and growth within a designated area, collaborating closely with the Field Sales Manager. This role serves as a vital link within the regional sales team, focusing on driving retail performance, executing events and activations, and providing comprehensive training to store teams to ensure a consistently exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate will exhibit outstanding leadership qualities, alongside strong interpersonal skills such as communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. They will be committed to achieving excellence, meeting profit targets, and embodying the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty ethos. The candidate will strive to surpass all Key Performance Indicators, including customer traffic, average transaction value, customer satisfaction, data collection, social engagement, and employee satisfaction scores.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Leadership

  • Assist the Field Sales Manager in driving overall retail sales within the designated area, focusing on performance improvement and KPI enhancement.
  • Develop store-level forecasts and performance initiatives, including incentive recommendations to motivate store teams.

Team Management

  • Lead and manage a team of Business Managers, ensuring clear objectives are set bi-annually for the execution of store strategies and sales plans.
  • Foster strong relationships with retailers in the area to establish credibility and trust.
  • Drive recruitment efforts across stores and the wider region.
  • Implement initiatives to address engagement needs identified through feedback mechanisms, promoting a culture of inclusion and motivation.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance brand visibility, performance, and market share within the area.
  • Collaborate with store management and Field Training Managers to drive social media content, unlock event opportunities, and enhance brand collaborations.
  • Ensure adherence to visual merchandising and grooming standards consistently.
  • Work closely with Retail Operations and support functions to maintain effective communication with retail teams.
  • Develop and implement innovative event strategies for the area.
  • Maintain a vibrant presence on the shop floor, promoting the brand through services, events, and activations.

Training and Development

  • Identify training needs and collaborate with the Training Team to develop a comprehensive training plan for stores.
  • Support Field Training Managers in delivering both online and on-site training sessions.

Cost Management

  • Oversee retail staffing costs for the area and recommend appropriate staffing levels to the Field Sales Manager.
  • Manage in-store payroll budgets to ensure alignment with financial forecasts.
  • Review and approve commission submissions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure travel and expense expenditures align with budget forecasts.
