ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The European Industrial Sales Team at Wind River is dedicated to fostering collaborative and strategic long-term partnerships with customers, enabling them to fully leverage Wind River solutions. Our goal is to be the leading provider of products and services for our European clientele, engaging at the senior management level to focus on vision-setting and business outcomes.

Interface & Collaboration

The primary responsibilities of the Strategic Account Manager include prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing new business with both existing and new Telco customers in Germany. The Account Manager is expected to bring a unique perspective to customer engagement, utilizing all available resources to address customer challenges with suitable Wind River products and services, while being accountable for increasing revenue through software licenses and customer success initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Account and Customer Relationship Management
  • Achieve or exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Access C-level executives, leveraging Wind River Executive Sponsors.
  • Develop effective account plans to ensure revenue delivery and sustainable growth.
  • Understand the customer's power-map and internal/external influencers.
  • Establish strong relationships with management and C-level executives based on customer needs and commitment to value.
  • Gain insights into each customer's technology landscape, strategic growth plans, and competitive environment.
  • Lead designated territory, managing accounts, relationships, and sales cycles.
  • Develop comprehensive business plans addressing customer priorities and pain points.

Demand Generation, Pipeline and Opportunity Management

  • Maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline planning and management.
  • Leverage support organizations to enhance pipeline development.
  • Utilize all Wind River solutions in sales pursuits.
  • Advance and close sales opportunities through effective execution of sales strategies.
  • Support Wind River promotions and events within the territory.

ABOUT YOU

  • 7+ years of quota-bearing sales experience, preferably in Product Management or Engineering sectors.
  • Experience in embedded software sales and the OEM marketplace is advantageous.
  • Proven success with a consultative, solutions-oriented sales approach.
  • Strong hunting and prospecting skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking abilities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage a territory and tailor customer solutions effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
