Clinical Services Relationship Manager

OBJECTIVE:
To leverage expertise in healthcare services, particularly in the admissions process and support programs, to effectively promote services to patients and external stakeholders, including hospital discharge planners and referring healthcare professionals. Collaborates with the Central Admissions Office to ensure a seamless admission experience for patients, aligning them with the appropriate clinic and treatment schedules.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enhances patient intake and treatment capacity while improving the commercial mix through exceptional customer service and support for referral sources and patients.
- Establishes and nurtures relationships with referral sources, fostering strong connections with both new and existing partners to expand the referral network.
- Engages directly with patients identified for admission to effectively market services and facilitate the admission process.
- Coordinates the admission process for all patients referred for dialysis services, providing outreach to hospitals and physician offices to ensure timely admissions.
- Collaborates with physicians and hospital personnel to gather necessary information for outpatient placements.
- Addresses and escalates admission-related issues in accordance with established protocols to ensure prompt resolution.
- Works alongside clinical managers to accommodate patient shift requests as needed.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of insurance and private pay options, ensuring patients and families are informed about their benefits.
- Maintains an extensive understanding of the dialysis sector and the support services offered by clinics and within the community.
- Stays informed about local market dynamics and industry trends to proactively respond to changes affecting the company and patient services. Regularly communicates program status and customer service challenges to management.
- Conducts market assessments and develops, implements, and evaluates effective marketing strategies on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, meeting regularly with management to review and adjust these plans.
- Consistently achieves sales and marketing objectives as set by management, maintaining accurate account data and completing required reports.
- Delivers professional sales presentations to all stakeholders.
- Participates in community outreach initiatives as outlined in the marketing strategy.
- Evaluates referral source satisfaction with the admissions process and dialysis services, collaborating with internal teams to implement necessary service improvements.
- Works with internal and external resources to provide renal education to new patients and referral partners as requested.
- Engages in responsibilities related to FMCNA-affiliated Acute Programs, including:
- Developing a thorough understanding of local dialysis admissions processes, including all area providers.
- Facilitating the transition of in-patient dialysis patients to outpatient settings, coordinating with patients and discharge planners to ensure suitable placements based on preferences and capacity.
- Collaborating with outpatient dialysis staff and hospital partners to resolve placement-related issues and assess customer service concerns.
- Focuses on reducing hospital stays by intervening early in the discharge process to promote timely discharges and minimize readmissions.
- Coordinates renal services for pre-ESRD and ESRD patients by collaborating with clinicians to provide essential education on treatment options, vascular access, and financial matters.
- Adheres to the Code of Business Conduct and all relevant company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- May seek assistance from senior staff for complex issues that arise.
- Escalates matters to supervisors for resolution as necessary.
- Assists with various projects as assigned by direct supervisors.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
A Bachelor's Degree is required.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, capable of engaging with personnel at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with strong customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills. A professional appearance is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Completion of and adherence to the Marketing and Business Development Functional Compliance Program.

COMPENSATION: Annual Rate: $70,000 - $80,000
