Position Overview: As a Clinical Operations Manager at Fresenius Medical Care, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of clinical services. In this leadership role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to implement individualized care plans and provide essential dialysis treatments to patients with end-stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinic Operations:

  • Oversee clinic operations, including financial management, staffing, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Provide leadership and development opportunities for direct reports.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Quality Assurance, and Technical Services.
  • Manage the Home Therapies Program in conjunction with the Home Therapies Program Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with medical and operational record-keeping and participate in auditing activities.
  • Accountable for annual reviews and accurate coding for medical records.
  • Manage clinic financial performance, including resource utilization and profit and loss analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with network reporting and state or federal survey requirements.

Patient Care:

  • Coordinate comprehensive patient care from admission to discharge.
  • Educate patients on quality measures, treatment options, and care access.
  • Serve as a resource for patients and families to address inquiries and concerns.
  • Ensure timely completion of patient assessments and care plans.
  • Optimize patient scheduling to enhance clinic efficiency and address missed treatments.
  • Validate patient eligibility for treatment and manage changes in patient status.

Staff Management:

  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
  • Ensure compliance with training requirements and maintain current licensure for clinical staff.
  • Support professional development for clinical staff through regular evaluations and goal setting.
  • Stay informed about company policies and procedures.
  • Document disciplinary actions and collaborate with Human Resources as necessary.
  • Manage staff scheduling and payroll processes.

Physician Collaboration:

  • Facilitate the process for physician privileges and compliance with medical staff bylaws.
  • Foster strong relationships with physicians and ensure effective communication.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams that govern clinic policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (RN).
  • Current state nursing licensure.

Experience and Skills:

  • Required: 6+ years of business operations experience in healthcare and clinical experience in chronic or acute dialysis nursing.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of supervisory or project management experience in ICU/CCU settings.

Work Environment:

  • Daily responsibilities include desk work and patient interaction.
  • Position may require travel between facilities and attendance at regional meetings.
  • Work environment typical of a healthcare facility with temperature control and moderate noise levels.
  • Potential exposure to infectious materials.
