Key Responsibilities:
CLINICAL OPERATIONS:
- Directs clinic operations, including budget management, process optimization, staffing, and adherence to quality standards.
- Provides mentorship, coaching, and development plans for all team members.
- Collaborates with internal departments such as Human Resources, Quality Assurance, and Technical Services.
- Oversees the Home Therapies Program in partnership with relevant staff.
- Ensures the accuracy of medical and operational records while complying with data collection and auditing requirements.
- Responsible for the Annual Standing Order Review and Internal Classification of Disease (ICD) coding.
- Manages financial aspects of the clinic, ensuring efficient use of resources and regular review of profit and loss statements.
- Ensures compliance with network reporting and state or federal surveys.
PATIENT CARE:
- Coordinates comprehensive patient care from admission to discharge with the appropriate team members.
- Educates patients on quality measures, transplant options, and care modalities.
- Serves as a resource for patients and families to address inquiries and concerns.
- Ensures timely completion of patient assessments and care plans.
- Manages patient scheduling to optimize facility operations and develops strategies for missed treatments.
- Validates patient eligibility for treatment and reports any changes in patient status.
STAFF MANAGEMENT:
- Involved in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff, ensuring completion of orientation and mandatory training.
- Ensures all clinical staff complete necessary training and maintain current licensure and certifications.
- Provides ongoing support for clinical staff and encourages professional development.
- Keeps abreast of company policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Conducts employee evaluations and sets annual performance goals.
- Documents disciplinary actions and collaborates with the clinic Director of Operations and Human Resources as needed.
- Oversees staff scheduling and payroll processes.
PHYSICIAN RELATIONS:
- Facilitates the process for physician privileges and ensures compliance with medical staff bylaws.
- Maintains strong relationships with physicians and ensures effective communication.
- Participates in interdisciplinary teams that govern policies and practices.
EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN).
- Current state licensure as required.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Required: Minimum of 6 years of experience in healthcare operations and clinical nursing, specifically in chronic or acute dialysis.
- Preferred: 3+ years of supervisory or project management experience, or experience in ICU/CCU settings.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Daily responsibilities include desk work, computer use, and interaction with patients and staff.
- May require travel between facilities and attendance at regional meetings.
- Work environment typical of a healthcare facility with controlled air temperature and moderate noise levels.
- Potential exposure to infectious materials.
