Job Title: Clinical Educator

Purpose and Scope: This role is essential in facilitating the education and training of staff across various company facilities and programs within a designated region. The Clinical Educator is responsible for delivering standardized, competency-based training initiatives, which include onboarding for new hires, preceptor training, facility-specific in-services, and clinical, quality, and customer service training programs aimed at enhancing patient care and meeting organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aligns training initiatives with regional and corporate business objectives.
  • Ensures compliance with nursing practice standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Focuses on fostering a culture of patient safety and improving clinical outcomes through adherence to industry guidelines.
  • Develops competencies to effectively educate staff on chronic kidney disease treatment protocols.
  • Encourages a culture of continuous learning through professional development programs and coaching.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders at all levels to schedule and implement educational programs and processes for both new and existing staff.
  • Utilizes diverse educational methods and techniques to enhance training delivery and evaluation.
  • Partners in executing action plans to ensure effective resolution of training-related issues.
  • Employs facilitation strategies and a variety of resources to create engaging learning experiences.
  • Maintains open and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including management, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities, strong communication skills, and a commitment to quality improvement and team collaboration.
  • Supports key performance indicator programs through accurate data documentation and reporting.
  • Stays informed about products and services to provide appropriate training to staff across all modalities.
  • Performs additional related duties as required.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • This position may involve exposure to infectious diseases and requires travel between 35-80% of the time.

Education and Required Skills:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree (BSN or MSN).
  • Current RN state licensure in the primary state of residence.
  • Must meet practice requirements in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of one year of dialysis experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Preferred: Certification in dialysis (CDN or CNN) within 18 months of employment.
  • Current CPR BLS Certification and completion of all required ongoing education and training.
