Summary About the Position:

This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f.

Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S.

Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction This position is located at the 2nd Theater Signal Brigade S3 Section in Wiesbaden, Germany.

The initial length of this overseas tour is 36 months with possible extensions up to 5 years.

Responsibilities Serves as a Theater Services and Integration Project Manager, in Headquarters 2d Theater Signal Brigade, providing Tactical and Strategic Communications across the full range of military operations.

Responsible for the implementation of principles, methods, and tools for the coordinated management of IT projects, system integration initiatives, and deliverables.

Manages the overall planning, execution, and timely delivery of multiple projects. Objectively advocates for project's organizational business value and funding needs to senior management. Develops and recommends policies and standards related to the scope and extent of service provided. Analyzes system characteristics and critical operational issues identified in the system requirements developed by the functional proponent.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.

Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by (1) identifying diverse Information Technology (IT) requirements, establishing a scope, and implementing within associated scope, cost and schedule; (2) leads information resource strategy and planning for assigned projects; (3) performs research, evaluations, and develops recommendations on special problems; (4) familiarity with current IT policies and practices used in other DoD and industry organizations.

The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:

Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.

Medical and dental care may be provided by host nation providers. The availability and level of care at host nation medical and dental facilities will vary by location.

If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation , the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI and DoDM If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation , then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI and DoDM Relocation/Recruitment/Advance-in-hire incentives may be authorized.
