Position Overview:
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support the U.S. Army Europe as part of our EMITS program team. The Network Engineer will be tasked with the design, planning, and construction of communication networks.
The responsibilities include configuring routers, switches, and firewalls for both LAN and WAN systems, as well as VPN concentrators, ensuring adherence to appropriate network engineering and communication protocols. The role also involves coordinating hardware and software improvements for LAN/WAN systems and monitoring the network using industry-leading technologies. Innovative methods and technical solutions will be provided through the engineering design process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance and upgrades of networks, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Ensure network integrity and connectivity while complying with policies and maintaining system backup and recovery capabilities.
- Coordinate the acquisition of necessary hardware and software, as well as subcontractor services.
- Develop plans and configure systems for data communication networks.
- Design and construct hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.
- Assess new communication technologies to enhance network capabilities.
- Stay updated on relevant technology as assigned.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to less-experienced professionals.
- May lead a team or specific tasks.
Qualifications for Success:
- Security Clearance Required: Secret Security Clearance
- Education: BA/BS or equivalent, with at least 8+ years of experience
- Skills and Experience: Proficiency with Forescout; CISCO ISE.
- Certification: Must be IAT Level III Compliant (e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP); experience with CISCO ISE is preferred.
- Ability to obtain German TESA.

The expected salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000, which may vary based on experience and geographic location. Total compensation for international positions may include allowances and relocation benefits.
