Job Overview:
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to provide support for our clients. This role is essential in safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical information and resources. The Cybersecurity Analyst will assist in the preparation and maintenance of Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization packages, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage RMF Authorizations and continuous monitoring efforts throughout the system lifecycle.
- Conduct RMF Assessment and Authorization (A&A) Self Assessments and Annual Reviews.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of necessary actions.
- Perform pre-validation A&A testing and documentation to validate compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.
- Lead self-assessments of information systems.
- Work alongside security control validation teams during audits.
- Develop and maintain RMF Body of Evidence (BoE) artifacts, including system security plans and contingency plans.
- Assist in implementing countermeasures or mitigating controls.
- Ensure the protection of networks and systems through the enforcement of organizational security policies.
- Conduct periodic system audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Provide guidance on vulnerability reporting and remediation actions.
- Notify relevant parties of any suspected incidents and assist in their resolution.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies.
- Advise on security considerations for new and existing information systems.
- Participate in special projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI clearance required.
- Education: Equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience can be substituted for degree requirement.
- Required Experience: 5+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.
- Required Technical Skills: Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and effective communication skills are essential.
- Certifications: DoD 8570 IAM III required at the time of hiring.
