Job Overview:
General Dynamics Information Technology offers an exciting opportunity for a Cybersecurity Analyst to provide support to our clients. The selected candidate will be instrumental in safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical information and resources. This role involves assisting the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in the preparation and maintenance of Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization packages in compliance with the Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines.
The Analyst will be responsible for registering systems in the Automated Performance Management System (APMS), developing and maintaining Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages, security plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). They will conduct and evaluate security scans, review Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and gather necessary artifacts to ensure adherence to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee RMF Authorizations and continuous monitoring activities using the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) system.
- Conduct RMF Assessment and Authorization (A&A) Self Assessments and Annual Reviews.
- Collaborate with various agency personnel to ensure timely completion of necessary actions.
- Perform pre-validation A&A testing and documentation to confirm compliance with cybersecurity policies and regulations.
- Lead self-assessments of information systems.
- Engage with security control validation teams during audits.
- Develop and maintain RMF Body of Evidence (BoE) artifacts, including system security plans and contingency plans.
- Assist in implementing countermeasures and mitigating controls.
- Ensure the protection of networks and systems through the enforcement of security policies.
- Conduct system audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance compliance levels.
- Report any suspected incidents promptly and assist in incident management.
- Stay updated on relevant technologies.
- Advise on security considerations for information systems throughout their lifecycle.
- Participate in special projects as required.
Qualifications for Success:
- Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI clearance required.
- Education: A combination of education, professional training, or work experience may substitute for degree requirements.
- Required Experience: 5+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with EvaluateSTIG, AESS, SCAP, and ACAS. Strong communication and technical writing skills are essential.
- Certifications: DoD 8570 IAM III certification required at the time of hiring.
