General Dynamics Information Technology is in search of a Network Operations Specialist to provide essential support for continuous operations in a dynamic environment. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of computer networks.
The Network Operations Specialist will oversee the performance of data traffic and network resources, ensuring optimal transmission quality. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving network issues, managing user accounts, and developing technical documentation and backup procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP).
- Monitoring network performance and independently addressing issues to guarantee high-quality service.
- Utilizing a ticketing system to manage and resolve networking problems.
- Providing support for networking issues and collaborating with senior engineers as necessary.
- Managing specialized software and applying security configurations to networking equipment.
Qualifications for Success:
- Security Clearance Required: Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on networking experience.
- Skills: Proficiency in networking technologies (Cisco, Junos, NSX-T); familiarity with Cisco Unified Communications is advantageous.
- Certification: Must possess IAT Level II Compliance (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent); Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) certification is required.
- Ability to obtain necessary technical accreditation.

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $72,250 - $97,750, based on experience and location.
