Position Overview:
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to provide support in safeguarding critical information and resources. This role is vital in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data to support operational objectives. The Cybersecurity Analyst will assist in preparing and managing Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization packages in accordance with established guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Assess Only, Assess and Authorize, and Authority to Connect RMF Authorizations, ensuring continuous monitoring throughout the system lifecycle.
- Conduct RMF Assessment and Authorization (A&A) Self Assessments and Annual Reviews.
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of necessary actions.
- Perform pre-validation A&A testing and documentation to confirm compliance with cybersecurity policies and regulations.
- Lead self-assessments of information systems for various program elements.
- Work alongside security control validation teams during audits.
- Develop and maintain RMF Body of Evidence (BoE) artifacts, including system security plans and contingency plans.
- Assist in implementing countermeasures and mitigating controls.
- Ensure the protection of networks and systems by enforcing organizational security policies.
- Conduct periodic audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance compliance levels.
- Notify relevant parties of any suspected incidents and assist in incident management.
- Stay updated on relevant technologies and security trends.
- Advise on security considerations for new and existing information systems.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
Qualifications for Success:
- Security Clearance: TS/SCI clearance required.
- Education: A combination of education and experience may substitute for degree requirements.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with EvaluateSTIG, AESS, SCAP, and ACAS. Strong communication and technical writing skills are essential.
- Certifications: DoD 8570 IAM III required at the time of hiring.
