Job Overview:
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Analyst to enhance our operations. This role is vital in safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical information and resources. The Cybersecurity Analyst will support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in preparing and maintaining Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization packages in compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines.
The Analyst will be responsible for registering systems in the Automated Project Management System (APMS), developing and managing Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), and creating security plans and standard operating procedures. The role also includes performing vulnerability assessments, analyzing security scans, and ensuring compliance with established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee RMF Authorizations and continuous monitoring efforts within the eMASS system.
- Conduct self-assessments and annual reviews of RMF A&A processes.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure timely completion of necessary actions.
- Execute pre-validation testing and documentation to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.
- Lead assessments of information systems for program elements.
- Engage with security control validation teams during audits.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive RMF Body of Evidence (BoE) artifacts.
- Assist in implementing security measures and controls.
- Monitor and enforce organizational security policies through vulnerability scanning.
- Conduct audits and assessments to verify compliance with security protocols.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance compliance efforts.
- Report any suspected security incidents promptly and assist in incident response.
- Stay updated on relevant technologies and security practices.
- Advise on security considerations for new and existing systems.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
Qualifications for Success:
- Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI clearance required.
- Education: Equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience may substitute for degree requirements.
- Required Experience: 5+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with EvaluateSTIG, AESS, SCAP, and ACAS. Strong communication and technical writing skills are essential.
- Certifications: DoD 8570 IAM III certification required at the time of hiring.
