Job Overview:
General Dynamics Information Technology presents a compelling opportunity within the Security Assistance Group – Ukraine (SAG-U) as part of our Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services (EMITS) program. The Network Administrator will play a crucial role in managing and securing various network infrastructures, including essential systems. Responsibilities will encompass the implementation of significant network upgrades and expansions, focusing on core routing, switching, and network security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier III support, addressing advanced network challenges that affect operational success.
- Utilize expertise in Cisco Umbrella DNS services and other network management tools.
- Deliver technical training and documentation to support staff and other departments.
- Engage with vendors for the design and implementation of new network systems.
- Maintain required certifications to adapt to evolving mission and operational demands.
- Participate in procurement processes, including design development and initial bill of materials creation.
- Be available for shift work, including weekends and holidays, as dictated by mission requirements.
Qualifications for Success:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of relevant experience, or higher education with corresponding experience.
- Security Clearance Level Required: DoD Secret security clearance required; Top Secret clearance preferred.
- Required Certifications: CCNA or equivalent industry certification; IAT Level II certification or higher as per DOD M requirements.
- Required Skills and Experience: Experience with Cisco ISE, Firepower Management Center, and other network management tools. Proven ability in managing diverse network systems, including classified and unclassified environments. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Physical capability for tasks such as lifting equipment and troubleshooting hardware.
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced certifications such as CCNP or higher. Experience with advanced networking concepts, including URL/Network filtering, Geo-Blocking, and virtualization technologies. Proficiency in developing complex network diagrams and supporting cybersecurity accreditation activities. Knowledge in ACLs, Route Maps, ports/protocols, and advanced security implementations.
Work Environment:
This position requires onsite engagement, with a focus on collaboration and operational excellence.
