Job Overview:
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a skilled Network Administrator to play a pivotal role in the Security Assistance Group – Ukraine (SAG-U) within our Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services (EMITS) program. This position supports critical operations for U.S. Army Europe and Africa's mission.
The Network Administrator will manage and safeguard various network infrastructures, including NIPRNet and SIPRNet. Key responsibilities will involve implementing substantial network upgrades and expansions, emphasizing core routing, switching, and security measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier III support to resolve complex network issues affecting mission operations.
- Utilize expertise in Cisco Umbrella DNS services and other network management tools.
- Deliver technical training and documentation to support personnel across departments.
- Collaborate with vendors to design and implement new network systems.
- Maintain required certifications to adapt to evolving mission needs.
- Engage in procurement processes, including design development and initial bill of materials.
- Be available for shift work, including weekends and holidays, as mission requirements dictate.
Qualifications for Success:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of relevant experience, or higher education with corresponding experience.
- Security Clearance Level Required: DoD Secret security clearance required; Top Secret clearance preferred.
- Required Certifications:
- CCNA or equivalent industry certification.
- IAT Level II certification or higher as per DOD M requirements.
- Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient with Cisco ISE, Firepower Management Center, and other network management tools. Proven experience managing diverse network systems, including classified and unclassified environments.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Physical capability for tasks such as lifting equipment and troubleshooting hardware.
- Eligibility for German TESA.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certifications such as CCNP or higher.
- Experience with advanced networking concepts, including URL/Network filtering, Geo-Blocking, and virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency in developing complex network diagrams and supporting cybersecurity accreditation activities.
- Knowledge in ACLs, Route Maps, ports/protocols, and advanced security implementations.
