Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Account Manager based in Munich, tasked with the responsibility of nurturing and expanding our existing portfolio of shippers. This role involves building strong relationships, engaging in various activities, and ensuring an exceptional experience for our shippers. The ideal candidate will be analytical, customer-focused, and possess a background in a commercial role, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance relationships with a portfolio of small to medium-sized businesses, achieving volume targets through superior service.
  • Maintain high engagement levels with shippers through consultative account management, proactively addressing their challenges.
  • Establish strong connections with key stakeholders both within the portfolio and internally.
  • Act as the customer advocate to influence product development and enhancements.
  • Identify and spearhead new commercial initiatives to alleviate customer pain points and enhance the shipper experience.
  • Lead by example, mentoring team members to foster collective success.

A Day in the Role
As an Account Manager, you will be situated at one of our corporate locations, closely monitoring every aspect of the shipping process. This visibility allows you to effectively guide our shippers, manage partner relationships, oversee contract execution, and track performance metrics.

Team Overview
The Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team is integral to Amazon's operational success. As part of ATS, you will join a diverse group that plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient transportation through air, sea, and road methods, as well as state-of-the-art sortation centers. Our team leverages data to drive strategic decisions, enhancing Amazon's innovation and efficiency while prioritizing safety and the well-being of our employees.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in business development, partner management, sales, or alliances.
  • Proficient in using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Fluent in both verbal and written English and German.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, engaging with various levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in an additional language (written and verbal), such as Mandarin, Italian, or French.
