Account Executive for Commercial Partnerships

Amazon Freight is an innovative freight service launched by Amazon, designed to facilitate the transportation of products in bulk across Europe for businesses of all sizes. This technology-driven service is rapidly expanding and is part of the Amazon Transportation Services organization, which oversees Amazon's premier logistics and transportation operations.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Account Manager based in Munich, tasked with nurturing and expanding our existing shipper portfolio. This role emphasizes relationship building, engagement activities, and ensuring an exceptional shipper experience. The ideal candidate will be analytical, customer-focused, and possess a background in commercial roles, capable of collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders while being proactive in business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance relationships with a portfolio of small to medium-sized businesses, achieving volume targets through superior service.
- Maintain high engagement levels with shippers through consultative account management, identifying and addressing their challenges.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders both within the portfolio and internally.
- Act as the customer advocate to inform product development and enhancements.
- Initiate and lead new commercial strategies to alleviate customer pain points and enhance the shipper experience.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members to ensure collective success.
A Day in the Role
In this position, you will operate from one of our corporate locations, closely monitoring all aspects of the shipping process to guide our shippers effectively. Your responsibilities will encompass managing partner relationships, overseeing contract agreements, and promoting new services while tracking performance metrics.

The Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team is integral to Amazon's operational success. As part of ATS, you will join a diverse group that enhances our transportation efficiency through air, sea, and road transport, utilizing state-of-the-art technology. Qualifications
Basic:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in business development, partner management, sales, or alliances.
Preferred:
- Master's degree or equivalent.
- Experience in stakeholder management, engaging with diverse stakeholders across various organizational levels.
- Proficiency in an additional language (written and verbal), such as Mandarin, Italian, or French.
