Overview
Amazon Freight is an innovative freight service that enables businesses of all sizes to utilize Amazon's logistics capabilities for bulk transportation across Europe. As part of the Amazon Transportation Services organization, this rapidly growing service is designed to meet the evolving needs of shippers.

Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Account Manager based in Munich, tasked with cultivating and expanding our existing client base. This role involves fostering relationships, engaging with clients, and ensuring a superior shipping experience. The ideal candidate will be analytical, customer-focused, and possess a strong commercial background, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance relationships with a portfolio of small to medium-sized businesses, achieving volume targets through exceptional service.
  • Maintain high engagement levels with clients through consultative account management, proactively addressing their challenges.
  • Establish strong connections with key stakeholders both within the client portfolio and internally.
  • Act as the customer advocate to influence product development and enhancements.
  • Identify and spearhead new commercial initiatives to alleviate customer pain points and enhance the shipping experience.
  • Lead by example, mentoring team members to ensure collective success.

Daily Responsibilities
In this role, you will operate from one of our corporate locations, gaining insights into the entire shipping process to effectively guide our clients. You will manage all aspects of partner relationships, from contract negotiations to performance tracking and service upselling.

Team Environment
As part of the Amazon Transportation Services team, you will join a diverse group that plays a critical role in our operational success. Utilizing various transportation methods and advanced technology, your contributions will help optimize Amazon's logistics efficiency. Our team leverages data to inform decisions, driving innovation and effectiveness while prioritizing safety and employee well-being.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in business development, partner relations, sales, or alliance management.
  • Ability to use data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Fluency in both English and German, with advanced proficiency in verbal and written communication.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in an additional language, such as Mandarin, Italian, or French.
