Director of Operational Support Services (m/f/d)

Position available in Kiel or Wilhelmshaven

At our facilities, you will encounter advanced and tailored marine systems for surface and underwater vessels, encompassing communication, navigation, reconnaissance, and command systems. Join us in integrating devices and subsystems into secure communication solutions or contribute to the development of the brain of a warship – the command and weapon deployment system. Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee the cross-location management of the Operational Support Services division, including Customer Service and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), with full personnel responsibility.
  • Lead the establishment and growth of a modern service organization.
  • Define the strategy for ILS, focusing on training concepts and execution.
  • Strategically direct obsolescence management to ensure long-term parts supply for the installed base.
  • Make strategic decisions regarding core and non-core activities within ILS.
  • Ensure sustainable growth in the service sector through the implementation of modern service concepts (e.g., Managed Services, framework agreements, Performance-Based Logistics, Digital Services).
  • Define service KPIs and OPIs.
  • Support the Head of Business Development in shaping and advancing the service strategy in the Above Water Solutions sector.

What We Are Looking For

  • A completed technical degree combined with business studies or equivalent qualifications.
  • Extensive professional experience (over 10 years) in various fields such as engineering, sales, and/or services.
  • Significant knowledge and experience in managing personnel.
  • Strong ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent proficiency in both German and English, spoken and written.
