About the Role:
Ferring Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director to join our Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of process engineering solutions to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of process engineers, coordinators, and technicians to ensure the smooth operation of aseptic production facilities.
- Develop and manage budgets for the engineering team in collaboration with the Director of Engineering and Controlling.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and implement lifecycle management of process equipment.
- Develop and maintain group-specific documents, including operating procedures and training materials.
- Collaborate with qualification engineers to support the commissioning and requalification of equipment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including production and quality assurance teams.
- Ensure timely and effective implementation of change control, deviation, and CAPA processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for the design, construction, and operation of pharmaceutical equipment and facilities.
- Support cross-functional projects and provide documentation, cost management, and progress reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and OPEX projects, such as 5S.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as bioengineering, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical leadership and process engineering in a pharmaceutical production environment.
- Excellent knowledge of GMP regulations and Annex 1.
- Strong understanding of barrier technologies, such as RABS and isolators.
- Experience with quality management systems and processes, including change control, CAPA, and deviations.
- Strong project management skills, including leadership of technical projects.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluent German and English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
