We have the tech, we have a plan and the financial resources, being backed by our customers and the European Innovation Council/European Commission. Now we are searching for you to help us scale the vision of a world free of chick culling (www.omegga.de).

As a Business Development Manager at Omegga, you will lead our initiatives to explore new markets and forge strategic partnerships, enhancing our industry footprint, while working closely with the founders. Your role will be pivotal in understanding market dynamics and leveraging this insight to establish a strong organizational presence and foster key relationships. This position combines strategic vision, innovative problem-solving, and leadership to propel our business to new successes and solidify our market position (50% remote work possible if feasible with current projects).

What You'll Do:

  • Market Analysis and Strategy Development: Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends and customer needs. Develop strategic plans to position Omegga effectively for market penetration and future sales growth. 
  • Industry Engagement and Representation: Engage with potential clients, visit hatcheries and represent Omegga at key conferences and industry events. With the aim to build a comprehensive understanding of the market landscape, build relationships, and identify sales opportunities. 
  • Lead Generation and Sales Funnel Management: Take ownership of the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals. Implement innovative lead generation strategies to identify new business opportunities, build and maintain a robust sales funnel, and drive sales activities to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Strategic Partnership Development: Develop strategic alliances with relevant industry players to explore synergistic opportunities that can be leveraged for future growth.
  • Product Positioning and Feedback Loops: Systematically gather customer and market feedback to refine product offerings and align them with market expectations.
Your profile

Your Experience:

  • Market Analysis and Strategy Development: Proven experience in conducting thorough market analysis and developing strategic business plans that align with organizational goals.
  • Operations and Sales: With 2-5 years of experience, you have demonstrated expertise in overseeing business development operations and consistently surpassing growth targets. Your strong track record in lead generation, managing a robust sales funnel, and driving the entire sales process from identifying potential customers to closing deals sets you apart. You have effectively cultivated prospective partnerships and expanded market presence, fostering sustained business growth. Additionally, you envision yourself in a leadership role in the future, continuing to drive success and innovation.
Your Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business management, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Communication and Negotiation: Excellent communication skills (English and German), including public speaking and networking; adept in negotiation, lead generation, and maintaining customer relations.
  • Strategic Sales Planning: Skilled in strategizing and executing sales plans that contribute to business objectives and closing deals.
  • Technical and Analytical Proficiency: Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office applications, with strong analytical skills to evaluate market trends and sales performance.
  • Passion and Drive: Highly motivated with a passion for entrepreneurship and deep tech, thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
