Overview and Responsibilities
Role Summary
As a Solutions Architect specializing in Embedded Systems, you will play a pivotal role in fostering technical collaborations with our Global Systems Integrators. Your responsibilities will include customizing proposals to align with client requirements, thereby enhancing our Solutions and Services potential. You will lead initiatives aimed at growth, initiating vital technical discussions, and connecting clients with our experts for large-scale, complex projects, ensuring our ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the ideation and design of innovative solutions. Collaborate with practice teams to articulate the vision and expectations for comprehensive solutions, integrating standalone offerings from various practices. Analyze business contexts and challenges to outline the vision and requirements for the solution. Propose viable options, selecting the most effective choice (across RFI/RFP and proactive pursuits with the GSI). Partner with the GSI team to co-create and convey how the solution meets the end client's objectives. Effectively integrate Lenovo and partner solutions, tools, and intellectual properties into the design to deliver optimal results. Detail appropriate solutions, enhancements, replacements, integrations, or decommissioning strategies, considering business and technological productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership. Shape transformative deals with senior client executives, collaborating with account and business development leaders. Rapidly assess and communicate any pricing adjustments, proactively adapting the solution to fit within budget constraints and align with the end customer's business goals.Key Preferences
Comprehend the solution approach and discern when to apply each strategy based on factors such as Winnability, Profitability, and Deliverability, including the pros and cons of each. Build consensus among both external and internal stakeholders, taking ownership of the solution's defense. Possess excellent communication, relationship management, and customer engagement skills. Capable of delivering architectural initiatives in digital, cloud, and open-source technologies, with a solid understanding of IT infrastructure. Previous experience in a similar role for large-scale transformational projects is essential. Ability to estimate effort and resources, align objectives, and drive optimization. Experience working with CXO teams and enterprise-wide initiatives in an advisory capacity. Proven track record in assessing end customers' portfolios, IT and business priorities, and customer insights to develop a strategic roadmap. Ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams and engage with various stakeholders, closely working with the sales team to guide and promote effective strategies within the GSI ecosystem. Experience in defining IT strategies and roadmaps for end customers. Mentor teams and Solutions Architects.Desired Skills and Experience
10-15 years of experience with strong technical and domain expertise. Background in consulting or GSI delivery is preferred. A solutions-oriented mindset with a value-based consulting approach. Self-motivated and promotes teamwork.What Lenovo Offers:
