Role Summary
As a Solutions Architect specializing in Embedded Systems, you will play a pivotal role in steering technical collaborations with our Global Systems Integrators. Your responsibilities will include customizing solutions to align with client requirements, thereby enhancing our Solutions and Services portfolio. You will lead initiatives aimed at growth, initiating essential technical discussions, and connecting clients with our experts for large-scale, complex projects, ensuring our ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the ideation and design of solutions.
- Collaborate with practice teams to articulate the vision and expectations for delivering comprehensive solutions, integrating standalone offerings from various practices.
- Analyze business contexts and challenges to establish the vision and requirements for solutions. Propose viable options, selecting the most effective approach (across RFI/RFP and proactive engagements with GSI).
- Partner with the GSI team to co-create and communicate how the solution fulfills the end client's objectives.
- Integrate Lenovo and partner solutions, tools, and intellectual properties into the design to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Detail suitable solutions, upgrades, replacements, integrations, or decommissioning strategies, focusing on business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership.
- Shape transformative deals with senior client executives, collaborating with account and business development teams.
- Rapidly communicate any pricing adjustments, proactively adapting the solution to fit budgetary constraints and align with the client's business goals.
Key Preferences
- Grasp the solution approach and discern when to select specific strategies based on factors like Winnability, Profitability, and Deliverability, including the pros and cons of each.
- Build consensus among both external and internal stakeholders, taking ownership of the solution's defense.
- Exhibit exceptional communication, relationship-building, and customer management skills.
- Deliver architectural initiatives in digital, cloud, and open-source technologies, possessing strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, with experience in similar roles for large-scale transformational projects.
- Understand effort and resource estimation, alignment, and drive optimization.
- Collaborate with CXO teams on enterprise-wide initiatives in an advisory capacity.
- Conduct assessments of clients' overall portfolios, IT and business priorities, and customer insights to develop a strategic roadmap.
- Work effectively within cross-functional teams and engage with various stakeholders, closely collaborating with the sales team to navigate the customer ecosystem with GSI.
- Define IT strategies and roadmaps for clients.
- Mentor teams and Solutions Architects.
