Role Overview

As a Presales Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing technical collaborations with our Global Systems Integrators. Your responsibilities will encompass customizing solutions to fulfill client requirements, optimizing our offerings in Solutions and Services. You will lead growth initiatives, initiate essential technical discussions, and connect clients with our specialists for significant, complex projects, ensuring our sustained success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee solution ideation and design processes.
  • Collaborate with practice teams to align vision and expectations for comprehensive solutions derived from individual practice contributions.
  • Analyze business contexts and challenges to articulate the vision and requirements for solutions, recommending optimal options during RFI/RFP processes and proactive pursuits with GSI.
  • Co-create with the GSI team and effectively communicate how the solution meets the end client's objectives.
  • Integrate Lenovo and partner solutions, tools, and intellectual properties into the design to ensure the highest quality.
  • Detail solutions, upgrades, replacements, integrations, or decommissioning strategies that enhance business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership.
  • Shape transformational agreements with senior client executives, collaborating with account and business development teams.
  • Promptly communicate any pricing adjustments, proactively adapting the solution to align with budgetary constraints and customer outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of solution approaches and the ability to select the most effective strategy based on factors such as Winnability, Profitability, and Deliverability.
  • Skilled in consensus building among both external and internal stakeholders, with a strong sense of ownership over solution defense.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship management, and customer engagement skills.
  • Proficient in delivering architectural initiatives in digital, cloud, and open-source technologies, with a solid understanding of IT infrastructure.
  • Adept at effort and resource estimation, alignment, and optimization.
  • Experience working with CXO teams on enterprise-wide initiatives in an advisory capacity.
  • Background in assessing end customers' portfolios, IT and business priorities, and customer insights to formulate a strategic roadmap.
  • Ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams and with various stakeholders, closely partnering with sales teams to navigate the customer ecosystem with GSI.
  • Experience in defining IT strategies and roadmaps for end customers.
  • Mentorship experience with teams or Solutions Architects.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 10-15 years of experience with strong technical and domain expertise.
  • Preferred background in consulting or GSI delivery.
  • Value-based consulting methodology with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Self-motivated and effective in collaborative settings.
