Position Overview

As a prospective Sales and Investor Relations Manager, you will report directly to the Senior Sales and Business Developer for Northern Europe at AXA IM Prime (London), becoming an integral part of the AXA IM PRIME Business Unit.

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Sales and Investor Relations Manager will collaborate with the AXA IM Prime Head of Sales for the region to establish asset raising objectives for all AXA IM Prime business lines (Infrastructure Equity, Private Equity, Private Debt, and Hedge Funds) and execute the sales strategy for AXA IM Prime in Germany and Austria, ensuring annual asset raising targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance and broaden third-party Assets under Management (AuM) in Germany while accessing new accounts (pension funds, insurers, banks, endowments, family offices), distributors (banks and insurance networks, savings platforms), private wealth managers, and consultants.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and competitor offerings to proactively refine AXA IM Prime's unique selling propositions and sales narratives, along with customized solutions and new product development.
  • Prioritize product pipeline to align with client needs and the AXA IM Prime fund launch schedule, ultimately ensuring sales success in the region.
  • Conduct client mapping and target client prioritization to meet established third-party capital raising goals.
  • Collaborate effectively with other AXA IM sales teams (AXA IM Core, AXA IM Alts) to maximize cross-selling opportunities.
  • Deliver exceptional after-sales support and service to investors (e.g., reporting, monitoring, ad-hoc requests).
  • Provide continuous feedback to management and product teams to enable AXA IM Prime to adapt its offerings to evolving investor demands.
  • Maintain an updated CRM with client contacts and a pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with portfolio management, structuring, product development, tax, and legal teams to ensure compliance with local regulations in marketing AXA IM Prime products.
  • Adhere to AXA IM processes from a regulatory and compliance standpoint.
  • Strategies marketed in the region will encompass both commingled funds and tailored dedicated mandates.
Your Profile

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Initial experience in the financial sector or asset management industry at comparable institutions.
  • Proven track record in raising assets for an Alternative Investment firm in Private assets (experience with dedicated mandates and solutions is advantageous).
  • Strong understanding of financial markets (both public and private) and compliance matters.
  • Experience utilizing CRM software to support a structured and efficient sales process (Salesforce).
  • Demonstrated engagement and comprehensive knowledge of ESG policies and industry best practices.
  • Participation in asset management working groups or investor associations is a plus.
  • Established network with institutional investors in Germany within the private assets sector.
  • Ability to structure sales processes, identify business opportunities, initiate contact with new investors, and maintain a high level of client service to expand AXA IM Prime's business in Germany and Austria.
  • Capacity to balance significant long-term objectives with the necessity to meet annual sales targets.
  • Strong comprehension of private assets, with particular insight into client needs and the advantages of Private Market investing.
  • Interest in anticipating future trends in the alternative investment management industry.
  • Open-mindedness towards innovation and the use of tools that enhance sales and client servicing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with potential to manage a small team as the platform evolves.
  • Able to thrive in a start-up environment within a larger organization.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.
