As a prospective Sales and Investor Relations Manager, you will report directly to the Senior Sales and Business Developer for Northern Europe at AXA IM Prime (London), becoming an integral part of the AXA IM PRIME Business Unit.

AXA IM Prime serves as the comprehensive private assets platform of AXA IM, facilitating investments across various sectors including private equity, infrastructure equity, private debt, and hedge funds. We provide a range of diversified private market returns through primaries, secondaries, co-investments, as well as NAV financing and GP minority stakes solutions. By collaborating with top-tier fund managers, we create tailored investment solutions for institutional investors and wealth managers that foster sustainable long-term growth.
Your Role and Responsibilities
The Sales and Investor Relations Manager will collaborate with the Head of Sales for the region to establish asset raising objectives for all AXA IM Prime business lines (Infrastructure Equity, Private Equity, Private Debt, and Hedge Funds) and execute the sales strategy for AXA IM Prime in Germany and Austria, ensuring annual asset raising targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance third-party Assets under Management (AuM) in Germany while accessing new accounts such as pension funds, insurers, banks, endowments, family offices, and distributors.
- Stay informed on market trends and competitor offerings to proactively enhance AXA IM Prime's unique selling propositions and sales narratives.
- Prioritize product pipelines to align with client needs and ensure successful fund launches.
- Conduct client mapping and prioritize target clients to meet established third-party capital raising goals.
- Collaborate with other AXA IM sales teams to maximize cross-selling opportunities.
- Deliver exceptional after-sales support and service to investors, including reporting and addressing ad-hoc requests.
- Provide continuous feedback to management and product teams to ensure AXA IM Prime's offerings evolve with investor demands.
- Maintain an updated client contact database and pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with portfolio management, structuring, product development, tax, and legal teams to ensure compliance with local regulations in marketing AXA IM Prime products.
- Adhere to AXA IM's regulatory and compliance processes.
- Market strategies in the region include both pooled funds and customized dedicated mandates.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Initial experience in the financial sector or asset management industry.
- Proven track record in raising assets for an Alternative Investment firm, particularly in Private assets.
- Strong understanding of financial markets and compliance matters.
- Experience with CRM software to support a structured sales process.
- Deep knowledge of ESG policies and industry best practices.
- Established network with institutional investors in Germany within the private assets sector.
- Ability to structure sales processes, identify business opportunities, and maintain high client service standards.
- Capability to balance long-term objectives with annual sales targets.
- Strong understanding of private assets and client needs related to Private Market investing.
- Interest in anticipating future trends in the alternative investment management industry.
- Open-mindedness towards innovation and the use of tools that enhance sales and client servicing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with potential to manage a small team as the platform grows.
- Fluency in both German and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to collaborate as part of a team and celebrate collective success.
