Lead Manager of Global Compensation

Position Overview: As the Senior Manager of Total Rewards, you will play a pivotal role within our Group HR Function. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the formulation and implementation of the compensation and benefits strategy at Bauer Media Group, collaborating closely with colleagues across various Bauer locations, including Germany, the UK, and Poland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance the global compensation strategy to align with organizational goals.
  • Ensure that compensation and benefits structures are tailored to meet the diverse needs of different countries.
  • Design competitive compensation frameworks, bonus structures, and employee benefits plans based on market benchmarks.
  • Oversee the global annual remuneration process, including both bonuses and base salaries.
  • Refine compensation processes and tools while identifying opportunities for digital transformation.
  • Conduct benchmark analyses to identify market trends and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Finance to assess and evaluate the personnel cost budget and salary increase proposals.
  • Build, lead, and manage a team of three Total Rewards Managers.

Qualifications:

  • A completed business degree with a minimum of seven years of professional experience in compensation and benefits within an international matrix organization.
  • Proficient in the conceptual development and optimization of international compensation systems in a comparable organization.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing international projects with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Fluency in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, along with substantial experience using SAP/SuccessFactors.
  • High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Analytical mindset with a process-driven and data-oriented approach, demonstrating strategic and critical thinking.
