Position Overview: We are in search of a highly qualified and experienced Global Procurement Manager - Balance of Plant to spearhead our procurement strategies for Balance of Plant (BoP) components across our international portfolio of renewable energy projects. This position demands a strategic thinker with a profound understanding of the renewable energy landscape and substantial experience in category management and procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute global procurement strategies for Balance of Plant components, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals.
- Oversee supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure competitive pricing and terms.
- Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to comprehend BoP requirements and guarantee timely delivery of materials and services.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the BoP category.
- Enhance the supply chain to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, standards, and corporate policies.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain management within the renewable energy sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Balance of Plant components and market dynamics.
- Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a global, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- C1 German proficiency.
