Aqarios, a dynamic startup in the field of quantum computing, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team and actively shape the future of quantum computing. You will work on our business development initiatives in this emerging sector and contribute to identifying and implementing new opportunities. Your expertise in business analysis, lead generation, partnership development, pitching, and other business aspects, particularly in quantum computing, will be crucial in advancing our company on this exciting journey.

Aqarios, a spin-off of QAR-Lab from LMU Munich and part of the world's leading research labs in the field of quantum computing, is a unique company with renowned customers and partners that is fully funded for years to come. We are a young and dynamic tech startup that wants to grow together with a motivated and dedicated team and build and consolidate new structures with you. Our business is to develop method knowledge, software algorithms and development tools that deliver value for quantum computing applications. YOUR TASKS

  • Identify and generate business opportunities and new customers, being part of the entire sales pipeline.
  • Present our products and services to potential partners and customers, particularly in the logistics, financial and energy sectors.
  • Identify national and international funding opportunities.
  • Coordinate and contribute to proposal preparation and submission to funding agencies.
  • Monitor trends and innovations in the quantum computing sector.
  • Represent Aqarios at international quantum computing events and conferences.
  • Assist with refining business plans, IP strategy, product pricing strategies etc.


YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in business development or related fields, preferably with a background in deep-tech sectors and SaaS products.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify strategic business opportunities.
  • Proven ability to build project proposals in coordination with internal or external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and German.
  • Experience in creating and executing business development strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, take ownership of work performance, identify challenges, and recommend solutions.
  • Experience with the startup environment.
