Sales Director for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland

Penguin Random House US is seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to join our International Sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling our complete Random House and Penguin US lists, as well as our distribution clients, within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze sales statistics to identify business growth opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
- Manage daily communication with accounts, addressing customer issues related to orders, inventory, and local on-sale dates and prices.
- Collaborate with customers to prepare marketing plans for key titles and oversee title submissions.
- Coordinate author events with publicists and local distributors to promote our publications.
- Develop and suggest publication strategies, including specialized formats and printings, to meet customer needs.
- Proven international sales experience and knowledge of the German-speaking book trade.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to travel internationally and locally by train or plane to conferences and to visit accounts, as needed.
