Senior Merchant Manager for Grocery Partnerships

Amazon EU SARL (Germany Branch) is looking for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join our dynamic Grocery Partnerships team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and enhancing our existing 3P Delivery business with current partners, as well as facilitating the onboarding of new partners.

This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a pioneering initiative focused on sustainable business growth, process enhancement, and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.

You will collaborate closely with various cross-functional teams, including Operations, Marketing, Selection, Customer Experience, Seller Success, and Finance, to ensure high service levels, develop product selection, and drive business activities aimed at achieving sustainable growth.

Effective communication skills are essential for engaging with both internal and external partners, utilizing data-driven insights to influence stakeholders, and ensuring that deadlines and profitability targets are met.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, dedicated to delivering an exceptional online customer experience, and capable of building strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Account Management: Strengthen and expand relationships with Grocery partners through effective account management, reporting, and ongoing communication to achieve business objectives.
  • Partnership Development: Utilize cross-functional collaboration skills to identify and influence key stakeholders, while developing and executing strategies to enhance partnerships. You will be proactive in innovating solutions to complex challenges and managing projects from inception to completion, including regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Business Development: Assist in strategic negotiations with potential partners and drive the execution of deals and integration plans.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant experience and/or a bachelor's degree
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated track record of ownership and results-driven performance
  • Proven ability to influence and drive change both internally and externally

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in eCommerce, grocery, or FMCG sectors
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with numerical data, including proficiency in tools such as Excel
  • Successful history of utilizing complex data sets to analyze business trends and develop strategies
  • Relentless focus on customer satisfaction
  • Aptitude for navigating complex, unstructured environments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic setting
  • Demonstrated capability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize various projects
  • Strategic and tactical thinking skills
