Your Role

  • You will take charge of managing the global Workday platform, which encompasses Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Benefits, Recruiting, and Learning, while ensuring comprehensive oversight of architecture, data, and interfaces from start to finish.
  • Your technical guidance will be crucial in optimizing the platform's architecture, business processes, and configurations.
  • In partnership with internal stakeholders, you will lead the development of the Workday architecture and roadmap strategy, as well as design and supervise the architecture of Workday solutions to guarantee alignment with business objectives.
  • You will regularly engage with internal HR teams to comprehend and implement updates to the Workday platform, ensuring enhancements are in line with best practices and elevate user experience.
  • Collaboration with the external AMS Support Provider will be essential to review and coordinate testing of configurations, ensuring all modifications are thoroughly vetted prior to deployment.
  • You will oversee the technical configuration review of biannual Workday releases, working closely with the Workday Platform Owner to prepare the organization for new features.
  • Additionally, you will support your team with reports required for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure successful delivery and adoption of Workday solutions, and continuously seek out and implement innovative functionalities and emerging industry trends to enhance the Workday ecosystem.

Your Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 8 years of substantial experience in the functional configuration of Workday.
  • Certification in Workday Core HCM along with 2 to 3 additional relevant Workday certifications, such as Talent & Performance, Learning, Recruiting, Reporting, Absence, or Compensation & Benefits.
  • A degree in computer science, business informatics, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in project implementations and managing complex Workday environments.
  • Experience in delivering tailored, localized solutions across global markets, ideally complemented by expertise in reporting.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive solutions documentation, including business process flows, functional design specifications, configuration guides, test scenarios, and training materials.
  • An organized individual with the capability to manage time, conflicting demands, multiple workstreams, and stakeholders, particularly senior executives, simultaneously.
  • A creative, solution-oriented mindset towards challenges, even in complex or difficult situations.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
