Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in designing, optimizing, and managing the technical architecture and deployment of Workday solutions. This role is crucial in ensuring that our Workday systems meet business requirements and adhere to industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume technical responsibility for the global Workday platform, which includes Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Benefits, Recruiting, and Learning, while overseeing all aspects of architecture, data management, and interfaces.
- Provide technical direction to optimize the platform's architecture, business processes, and configurations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to shape the Workday architecture and roadmap strategy, ensuring that the design of Workday solutions aligns with business needs.
- Regularly engage with internal HR teams to understand and implement updates to the Workday platform, ensuring enhancements are in line with best practices and enhance user experience.
- Work closely with the external AMS Support Provider to coordinate testing of configurations, ensuring all modifications are thoroughly evaluated before deployment.
- Conduct technical configuration reviews for biannual Workday releases, partnering with the Workday Platform Owner to prepare the organization for new functionalities.
- Support the team with reports required for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure the successful delivery and adoption of Workday solutions. Continuously seek and implement innovative functionalities and emerging industry trends to enhance the Workday environment.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 8 years focused on the functional configuration of Workday.
- Workday Core HCM certification along with 2 to 3 additional relevant Workday certifications, such as Talent & Performance, Learning, Recruiting, Reporting, Absence, or Compensation & Benefits.
- A degree in computer science, business informatics, or a related field is advantageous.
- Proven track record in project implementations and managing complex Workday environments.
- Experience in delivering tailored, localized solutions across global markets, ideally with expertise in reporting.
- Ability to create comprehensive documentation, including business process flows, functional design specifications, configuration guides, test scenarios, and training materials.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time, conflicting priorities, multiple workstreams, and stakeholders, particularly senior executives, effectively.
- A creative, solution-oriented mindset when addressing challenges, even in complex situations.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
