Key Responsibilities
  • As a Strategic Contract & Alliance Specialist, you will oversee existing contracts, negotiate terms, durations, and optimal pricing, while drafting new agreements in collaboration with the legal team.
  • You will assess the benefits of changing contract manufacturers, packers, and batch sizes, negotiate new agreements, and manage product transfers.
  • Working closely with our Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Quality teams, you will ensure consistent product availability, negotiate with suppliers regarding delays and quality issues, and enforce claims as necessary.
  • In partnership with Regulatory Affairs, SCM, Quality, Marketing, and Finance, you will contribute significantly to enhancing product profitability, identifying unprofitable items, and managing their removal from our portfolio.
  • In the context of health insurance tenders, you will draft and coordinate commitment letters for participating manufacturers, negotiate special pricing, and ensure compliance with contract manufacturers and in-licensing partners.
  • You will collaborate with Controlling on license fees, remuneration, and pricing compensation calculations, ensuring receipt of reimbursements from negotiated special prices and pursuing claims for breaches of contract when needed.

  • Extensive experience in an international setting, with a strong background in procurement and supplier alliance management within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • A balanced mix of strategic, operational, and negotiation capabilities; adept at being flexible yet decisive in a dynamic environment while managing risks effectively.
  • Proficient IT skills and familiarity with computer-based planning and forecasting systems.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities in English, with proficiency in German being a plus.
