About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Specialist to join our team at Freudenberg. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality components and materials to support our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchasing of new and existing components, as well as scheduling and ordering of spare parts to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize downtime.
- Operational and strategic handling of enquiries, offer comparisons, and orders as part of our purchasing processes, ensuring compliance with our quality and safety standards.
- Market research and supplier evaluation, as well as supplier selection in direct purchasing, to identify and secure the best possible suppliers.
- Conducting contract and price negotiations, as well as reviewing purchasing and contract documents, to ensure the best possible terms and conditions.
- Identification of savings potentials in cooperation with the specialist departments, as well as the implementation of measures to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Coordination of projects and interfaces between project management and suppliers, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Processing of complaints and delivery disruptions, as well as the initiation of countermeasures and corrective actions, to minimize the impact on our operations.
- Supplier monitoring and auditing, as well as supplier development, to ensure high supplier quality and performance.
Requirements:
- Completed technical or business studies or corresponding further training on the basis of vocational training.
- Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally in technical purchasing for a manufacturing company.
- Very good technical understanding and analytical skills.
- Confident handling of SAP and MS Office programs.
- Strong communication skills, even across different cultural and hierarchical levels, to ensure good cooperation with all internal and external partners.
- High motivation, initiative, reliability, and flexibility.
- Good written and spoken German and English skills.
