Position: Procurement Manager

We are looking for a proactive and skilled individual to join our diverse team as a Procurement Manager. This position offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the rapidly evolving space sector. You will engage in fast-paced development cycles, managing a variety of technically complex commodities essential for our projects. Your work environment will be dynamic and international, focusing on excellence in delivering high-performance solutions while optimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Project, and Launch teams to evaluate the feasibility of intricate technical projects. Lead procurement discussions with a focus on cost, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Perform bid evaluations with a methodical approach and facilitate supplier selection processes. Analyze supplier proposals and oversee price and contract negotiations in accordance with procurement strategies and organizational policies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between all stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Engineering teams to manage requests for quotations and purchase orders, supporting rapid research and development efforts.
  • Maintain meticulous oversight of procurement activities within the ERP system to ensure transparency across all business functions.
  • Verify supplier deliverables and invoices, coordinating with Finance to finalize the procure-to-pay process.
  • Align stakeholders to ensure that cost, delivery, and quality objectives are achieved for supplier portfolios.
  • Contribute to the development of a scalable, high-performance, and reliable supply chain while fostering supplier relationships.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in procurement or a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in business or economics.
  • Proficiency in German is essential.
  • Relevant experience in procuring technically complex components.
  • Proven track record in negotiating pricing and finalizing contracts with suppliers of various sizes.
  • Familiarity with order management processes.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand the broader context.
  • A proactive mindset and capability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for technology and a keen interest in the aerospace industry.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
