Audit Manager, Transportation, Risk and Compliance Specialist

Logistics Compliance Manager

As a key member of Amazon Deutschland Transport GmbH, you will play a crucial role in managing risk in our fast-growing global logistics and transportation environment.

We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in operations and internal controls to address various risk areas such as compliance, process improvement, technology, legal matters, and program management.

In this role, you will lead a team to analyze the risk landscapes of Amazon's logistics and transportation businesses, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.

You will collaborate with legal, finance, and compliance teams to enhance compliance programs, including conducting risk assessments, designing governance programs, and assessing policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate regulatory and compliance risks related to third-party carriers
  • Assess the compliance of new and existing third-party carriers, investigate suspicious activity, and develop corrective actions
  • Conduct cross-functional risk and control assessments aligned with company strategy, identifying areas for improvement
  • Support the implementation of business requirements, controls, and process improvements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Travel up to 20% of the time on short notice, as required
  • Proficiency in German language is mandatory, with strong communication skills in English

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or law
  • Audit, risk, or compliance experience in transportation or logistics, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, and experience with risk management software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the transportation or supply chain industry, with a strong understanding of logistics and transportation operations
  • Background in risk mitigation, fraud, compliance, or internal controls, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements
  • Project management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Certification in risk, audit, or compliance fields, such as CISA or CFE
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including legal, finance, and compliance teams
