We seek professionals who can leverage their expertise in operations and internal controls across a broad spectrum of risk domains, including compliance, processes, technology, legal, finance, and program management.
Your role will involve working closely with various legal, finance, and compliance teams to enhance compliance initiatives, which will encompass the design and execution of risk evaluations, governance frameworks, and policy assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with transportation teams and other stakeholders to identify and evaluate regulatory and compliance risks associated with our third-party carriers.
- Assess new and existing third-party carriers to ensure adherence to compliance, safety, and service standards, while investigating any suspicious activities that may pose risks to Amazon, our customers, or others.
- Lead cross-functional evaluations of risks and controls to align with company strategy and risk tolerance, making informed decisions regarding third-party carrier integrity and compliance standards even with limited information.
- Support the integration of policies, standard operating procedures, internal controls, monitoring, and reporting to enhance operations, compliance protocols, and risk management.
- Engage with project teams to develop business requirements and controls in implementation strategies.
- Drive initiatives for process enhancement and control implementation.
- Be prepared to travel up to 20% of the time on short notice.
- Note: Proficiency in German is a mandatory requirement, and CVs must be submitted in English.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experience in Audit, Risk, and/or Compliance, preferably within the operations, transportation, or logistics sectors.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
- Ability to analyze data from diverse sources to identify potential risk indicators and collaborate with internal stakeholders for root cause analysis, alongside advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in risk mitigation, fraud prevention, compliance functions, internal controls, legal, HR compliance, labor employment, transportation, or supply chain management.
- Proven experience in project management, case management, or process improvement initiatives.
- Possession of CIA, CFE, CISA, CPA, or similar credentials in risk, audit, or compliance.
