Role Overview
We seek professionals who can leverage their expertise in operations and internal controls across a wide array of risk domains, including compliance, processes, technology, legal matters, finance, and program management.
Key Responsibilities
As a key player, you will work alongside various legal, finance, and compliance teams to enhance compliance initiatives, which will involve:
- Collaborating with transportation teams and other stakeholders to pinpoint and evaluate regulatory and compliance risks concerning our third-party carriers.
- Assessing both new and existing third-party carriers to ensure adherence to compliance, safety, and service standards, while investigating any suspicious activities that may pose risks to Amazon and its customers.
- Leading comprehensive evaluations of risks and controls to align with company strategy and risk tolerance, making informed decisions regarding third-party carrier integrity and compliance standards.
- Linking policies, standard operating procedures, internal controls, monitoring, and reporting to enhance operations, compliance policies, and risk management.
- Partnering with project teams to develop business requirements and controls in implementation strategies.
- Driving initiatives for process improvement and control implementation.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time on short notice.
- Note: Proficiency in German is a mandatory requirement, and CVs must be submitted in English.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Audit, Risk, and/or Compliance, preferably within the operations, transportation, or logistics sectors.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
- Ability to analyze data from diverse sources to identify potential risk indicators and collaborate with internal stakeholders for root cause analysis, along with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in risk mitigation, fraud prevention, compliance functions, internal controls, legal matters, HR compliance, labor employment, transportation, or supply chain.
- Experience in project management, case management, or process improvement initiatives.
- Possession of relevant credentials such as CIA, CFE, CISA, CPA, or similar qualifications in risk, audit, or compliance.
