Your Role: We seek professionals who can leverage their expertise in operations and internal controls across various risk domains, including compliance, processes, technology, legal matters, finance, and program management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with transportation teams and other stakeholders to pinpoint and evaluate regulatory and compliance risks concerning our third-party carriers.
- Assess both new and existing third-party carriers to ensure adherence to compliance, safety, and service standards, while investigating any suspicious activities that may jeopardize Amazon, our customers, or others.
- Facilitate comprehensive assessments of risks and controls to align with corporate strategy and risk tolerance, making informed decisions regarding third-party carrier integrity and compliance standards even with limited information.
- Support the integration of policies, standard operating procedures, internal controls, monitoring, and reporting to enhance operations, compliance policies, and risk management.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop business requirements and controls within implementation plans.
- Lead initiatives for process improvement and control implementation.
- Be prepared to travel up to 20% of the time on short notice.
- Language Requirement: Proficiency in German is essential, and CVs must be submitted in English.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Audit, Risk, and/or Compliance, preferably within the operations, transportation, or logistics sectors.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
- Ability to analyze data from diverse sources to identify potential risk indicators and collaborate with internal stakeholders for root cause analysis, with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in risk mitigation, fraud prevention, compliance functions, internal controls, legal, HR compliance, labor employment, transportation, or supply chain.
- Experience in project management, case management, or process improvement.
- Possession of CIA, CFE, CISA, CPA, or similar credentials in risk, audit, or compliance.
