About the Role

OroraTech GmbH is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and drive the growth of our wildfire management solutions in the forestry and civil protection sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Analysis and Positioning: Conduct in-depth analysis of the forestry and civil protection markets to identify opportunities for growth and develop strategies to position OroraTech's solutions as leaders in the industry.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the forestry and civil protection sectors to promote OroraTech's solutions and drive business growth.
  • Product Development and Improvement: Collaborate with the Product Development team to develop and improve OroraTech's wildfire management solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
  • Go-to-Market Strategies: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for OroraTech's wildfire management solutions in the forestry and civil protection sectors.
  • Value Creation and Assessment: Determine and assess the value that OroraTech's solutions provide to customers and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Represent OroraTech's interests and demands in interactions with internal and external stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and driving business growth.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or a related field, particularly within the wildfire management or remote sensing segment.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Forest Management, Environmental Science, or a related field is required. Technical backgrounds preferred.
  • Knowledge in competitor analysis, strategic planning, and market analysis within B2B and B2G sectors.
  • Long-term expertise and strong understanding of the forestry and/or civil protection sector as well as experience in scaling business operations globally.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Proactive, innovative, and results-driven mindset with a passion for technology and its applications in solving real-world problems.
