Hydrogen and Ammonia Business Development Specialist

As a key member of our product and business development division focused on hydrogen and eco-friendly ammonia, you will play a vital role in advancing the energy transition and driving our organization towards sustainable solutions. Your responsibilities will include creating innovative products tailored to customer needs and serving as a liaison between sales teams and the sourcing of green raw materials.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Formulating innovative sales strategies for green ammonia in collaboration with the team.
  • Identifying and cultivating new business prospects within the ammonia and hydrogen sectors, including potential clients and strategic alliances.
  • Facilitating and participating in the drafting of ammonia business agreements and letters of intent.
  • Assisting in the development of essential product features based on market insights, in conjunction with the team.
  • Evaluating and refining business cases for ammonia, incorporating feedback from various departments (technical, market, legal, regulatory, etc.).
  • Providing guidance to prospective clients and gathering insights on our offerings.
  • Leading internal and external workshops and presentations regarding our products.

Your Profile

  • Degree in business administration, economics, engineering, or industrial engineering.
  • Several years of experience in developing innovative products, sales strategies, and/or business development.
  • Experience in conceptualizing new business ideas, including negotiation and drafting of customer contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with both internal teams and clients at all levels.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to integrate diverse customer needs and market trends into new, value-generating business opportunities.
  • Preferred, but not mandatory: strong technical background and extensive network in industries such as ammonia, chemicals, fertilizer production, mobility (road, shipping, aviation), or significant sales experience (e.g., natural gas, technical sales).
  • Fluency in German and English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
