Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Demand Consolidation: Organize and execute demand aggregation across various sectors, locations, and projects. Assess demands, market conditions, and suppliers to establish an optimal material strategy.
  • Commodity Strategy Development: Evaluate the effectiveness of the strategy, implement and assess KPIs, and provide actionable insights for ongoing enhancement.
  • Creative Negotiation Strategies: Formulate and execute innovative negotiation approaches, conduct global pricing and contract discussions, and establish risk and contract management frameworks.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Collaborate with partner functions for comprehensive supplier oversight, maintain robust communication with internal and external stakeholders, and facilitate high-level meetings with strategic suppliers.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track essential data and metrics, prepare analyses, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate closely with the supplier network and internal partners to further Siemens' sustainability objectives.
  • Digital Transformation & Resilience: Lead digital initiatives and cultivate resilient procurement strategies within your area of responsibility.
  • Leadership and Networking: Serve as a role model, guide the transformation of the global commodity, manage an international team, and promote network expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technical or business field.
  • Extensive experience in strategic procurement or related domains, along with project management skills.
  • Preferably possess knowledge of Transformers and/or cross-functional pooling.
  • Demonstrate technical acumen, commercial insight, and familiarity with procurement processes.
  • International experience, global team leadership capabilities, and adaptability to diverse cultures.
  • Proven ability to lead complex ecosystems and networks, with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities, with a data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Proficiency in negotiation, presentation, and facilitation, showcasing a goal-oriented and independent personality.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken German and English.
