As the PLM IT Manager focusing on Model Based Design, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating a diverse global team of specialists who manage projects related to a worldwide 3D CAD platform integrated with Teamcenter. This role also encompasses overseeing the NX service for our operations globally while evaluating the technical and financial implications for the organization. You will provide guidance and support to your team members, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget while maintaining a high standard of quality. Key Contributions You will exhibit both disciplinary and professional leadership for a team of global PLM domain experts and technical IT specialists. With your expertise in Model Based Design (MBD), you will mentor the team, ensuring comprehensive understanding of its advantages and requirements, including Executive Presentations and strategic planning. You are aware of the complexities involved in implementing MBD and recognize that it extends beyond tools and functionalities, allowing you to advise the business throughout this transformation. You possess knowledge of working with Product Manufacturing Information (PMI), including annotations such as GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), surface finish details, material specifications, and other non-geometric data in 3D models, enabling you to address challenges with your team. You will oversee the CAD NX service, striving to enhance the current state based on established technical market trends while prioritizing quality assurance and operational cost efficiency. You will cultivate and sustain robust partnerships, both with business stakeholders to comprehend their needs and provide tailored PLM solutions, and with our software providers to grasp strategies and roadmaps that influence the business. Qualifications A degree in computer science, business informatics, mechanical engineering, or a related field is required. Over 10 years of experience in an IT role, including more than 3 years in leadership positions managing multinational teams, particularly in PLM and global hosting of engineering applications. Familiarity with the latest 3D CAD / CAM / CAE technologies and product design methodologies, with a strong desire to stay updated on new trends. Experience with CAD tools (preferably NX) and 3D modeling in areas such as CAD/CAM/CAE. Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances. Willingness to travel as necessary for global collaboration. Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and networking skills, with an emphasis on cross-cultural competencies. A proven track record of managing challenging projects and delivering business value that satisfies customer expectations. As this role operates in an international context, fluency in English is essential.
