If you are prepared to assume the role of Global Procurement Council Leader (f/m/d) for Transformers, managing a worldwide purchasing volume exceeding 600 million EUR, let us collaborate to redefine the future of procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Demand Consolidation: Organize and execute demand aggregation for various sectors, locations, and projects. Assess demands, markets, and suppliers to establish an optimal material strategy.
  • Commodity Strategy Development: Oversee and assess the effectiveness of the strategy, implement and evaluate KPIs, and provide actionable insights for ongoing enhancement.
  • Creative Negotiation Strategies: Formulate and execute innovative negotiation approaches, conduct global pricing and contract discussions, and establish risk and contract management frameworks.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Collaborate with partner functions for comprehensive supplier management, maintain extensive communication with internal and external stakeholders, and facilitate executive meetings with strategic suppliers.
  • Monitoring and Analytical Reporting: Track essential information and metrics, prepare analyses, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Work closely with the supplier network and internal partners to promote Siemens' sustainability objectives.
  • Digital Transformation & Resilience: Lead digital initiatives and cultivate resilient procurement strategies within your area of responsibility.
  • Leadership and Networking: Serve as a role model, guide the transformation of the global commodity, manage an international team, and promote network expansion.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Possess a master's degree in a technical or business field.
  • Bring substantial experience in strategic procurement or related domains, along with project management expertise.
  • Ideally have knowledge of Transformers and/or cross-functional pooling.
  • Exhibit technical acumen, commercial insight, and familiarity with procurement processes.
  • Demonstrate previous international experience, global team leadership capabilities, and adaptability to diverse cultures.
  • Show proven ability in leading complex ecosystems and networks, with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Possess effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, utilizing a data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Exhibit proficiency in negotiation, presentation, and facilitation, showcasing a goal-oriented and independent personality.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken German and English.
