Business Development Manager for Distribution

At Micron, we're transforming the way the world uses information to enrich life for all. As a Business Development Manager for Distribution, you'll be a key member of our EMEA Division's broadmarket BDM team, driving the development of our distribution corporate business and supporting revenue growth at distribution accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop business plans and product positioning for assigned EMEA distribution business
  • Drive and monitor the EBU strategy for corporate distribution in EMEA
  • Identify and develop support strategies for new customers in high-growth and high-value embedded applications and segments
  • Contribute to EMEA Division revenue and profitability objectives
  • Work with Sales/FAE to understand customer needs and propose the best Micron solution
  • Enable and support design-in/win activity with preferred product sampling and in line with EBU product strategy
  • Monitor marketplace and competitors for adjusting tactics and securing targeted business share
  • Provide regular customer feedback and updates to product and segment marketing teams
  • Deploy/optimize pricing strategy with field sales to profitably grow business and market share
  • Interact with EBU worldwide counterparts for synchronizing on products/segment strategies
  • Keep EBU members and management informed on biz/products status and requirements
  • Analyze customer demand for forecast accuracy and continuity
  • Provide/support customers with regular marketing messages & products update
Requirements:
  • Ability to develop strong field and strategic customer engagements
  • Ability to collaborate seamlessly with internal teams
  • Ability to consult and influence across the organization
  • Strong business acumen with ability to understand market needs and complete ROI analysis
  • Good understanding of technical requirements for IMM and Consumer applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand and analyze data and reports
  • Flexibility to manage requirements and support with short-notice
Education & Experience:
  • Engineering Degree and at least 3 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Product Marketing or Product Engineering
  • Good background and understanding of memory products
Additional Requirements:
  • Fluent in English required and German desired
  • Availability to support frequent business trips within Europe or occasional overseas
  • Strong communication, presentation, Powerpoint, CRM and Excel skills
