European Sales Director

The trading company Jebsen & Jessen has been a global player in import and export for over 100 years, with expertise in chemicals, textiles, steel, transportation/e-mobility, and export financing. Our German-based companies operate independently from Hamburg, connecting directly with customers and suppliers worldwide.
For Life Science GmbH, we are seeking an experienced Senior Trade Manager to oversee sales operations in Europe. This role involves national and international trading of food and feed additives, as well as home and personal care products.
Your Responsibilities
- National and European market analysis to identify business opportunities and threats
- Establishment and maintenance of long-term customer relationships through regular communication and effective problem-solving
- Market research and competitive intelligence to inform business decisions
- Development of marketing strategies and product variations in collaboration with customers and manufacturers
- Budgeting and sales planning to ensure business growth and profitability
- Forecasting and managing trade data to optimize supply chain efficiency
Your Profile
- A degree in foreign trade or a related field, with relevant work experience in the trade industry
- Fluency in German and English, with knowledge of Spanish advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with high flexibility and self-motivation
- Experience with MS Office and merchandise management systems, with SAP knowledge beneficial
