Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Expert to join our team in the Commodities – Panels Category. As a key member of our STARK Deutschland sourcing organization, you will play a crucial role in driving strategic processes with suppliers and business units.

Job Summary
  • Define optimal supplier portfolio for 3 years, considering terms, short vs. long-term balance, and tender vs. forecast utilization.
  • Establish frame contracts to enable future supplier portfolio and drive strategic processes with suppliers in cooperation with business units' sourcing management.
  • Maintain comprehensive global and local supplier overview, assessing production facilities, market positions, and strategies.
Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Understanding cost driver insight for timber producers, analyzing supplier performance, and monitoring market development.
  • Obtaining and sharing information of the full timber market in Europe to make informed sourcing decisions.
  • Coordinating product development and cost reduction projects with European suppliers and business units' stakeholders.
  • Managing organizational supplier overview and engaging with decision-level European counterparts.
  • Establishing good, local business units' suppliers into other business units to increase competition and secure volume options.
  • Developing and maintaining partnerships with suppliers in the European Supplier Program (ESP).
  • Driving competitiveness and profitability through optimized sourcing, cost reduction, and supplier performance enhancement.
  • Balancing volumes between suppliers in – and between all markets to secure the most competitive prices and secure availability for all business units.
