Business Development Director

Overview:
We are seeking a visionary leader to drive business growth through strategic initiatives and mergers and acquisitions. As a Business Development Director at Bauer Media Group, you will lead the charge in formulating and executing digital expansion strategies, aligning acquisition and growth goals with the overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement digital expansion strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and evaluate industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.
- Source and evaluate potential acquisition opportunities, leveraging industry networks, market research, and partnerships to identify companies aligning with our digital growth strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform financial valuation, structuring deals, and negotiating terms with target companies.
- Manage due diligence efforts to assess the operational, financial, and technological aspects of potential acquisitions.
- Participate in the end-to-end acquisition process, working closely with M&A, legal, finance, and operational teams to facilitate smooth and timely execution of agreements and integrations.
- Cultivate strong relationships with external stakeholders, including target company executives, advisors, and industry partners.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience and track record in business development and M&A/growth projects within the digital sector, preferably within publishing, media, or ecommerce.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and deal structuring.
- Deep understanding of digital business models, emerging technologies, and market trends impacting the publishing industry.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong networker with deep knowledge of publishing and commerce markets in the UK and Germany.
- Business proficient English language skills (verbally and written).
